TVET Encounter 2013

The TVET Encounter 2013 will gather the trainees of nine (9) Technical Vocational Education and Training Centers of the North Province of the Salesians of St. John Bosco together in a celebration of joy and brotherhood.
It is the first ever assembly organized where all of the Don Bosco TVET Trainees are given opportunity to encounter and interact with trainees from other Don Bosco settings. This group experience deepens the awareness that they belong to a great and large family of Don Bosco

The TVET Directors met last December 6, 2012 and discussed their plans for the K to 12 curriculum, the development of the TVET Faculty Manual, and learning materials. Engr. Rey Alvin Cagaoan of DB Mandaluyong shared his experience in the recently concluded TVET seminar in Singapore, while Fr. Fernando Urbano, SDB presented the ABS CBN Sagip Kapamilya tie-up with the TVET centers in rural districts.

The TVET Directors of the nine Don Bosco TVET centers in the FIN Province had their monthly forum with ODEA last November 8 and discussed the updates on directions from TESDA and the General Assembly. The directors also reviewed resolutions from the past meetings specifically the Faculty and Personnel Handbook, the Performance Evaluation Tool, implementation of the revised BOT by-laws, the TVET setting, and the development of the TVET learning materials.
